Wolverine Wednesday: Has A Few Bullet Points

Graduate transfer news: Jake Raulerson an offensive lineman from Texas, will visit Ann Arbor on 1/15. Most folks expect they are looking at Jake at center. The unique thing here is that Jake will graduate early and have two years of eligibility left. Jake was a 2013 class 4 star and Army All American. Jake is 6’5 and 281 pounds. Looks like Jake played 12 games with 5 starts in 2014 and sparling in 2015. He was the expected starter at center next season.

4 Star QB Zach Gentry continues to rep at TE

Devin Bush Jr. and Sean McKeon both signed their paperwork to enroll in January.

With the hiring of Don Brown, that means Chris Partridge probably doesn’t have a coaching spot after the bowl game. “He’s doing an amazing job. If I had one more spot, another spot on the coaching staff, it would be Chris Partridge,” Harbaugh said Tuesday evening. “I’ve really been that impressed with him as a coach.” – You don’t know what (might) happen with the hiring cycles, once the pro hiring cycles begin,” he said. “But it can’t be soon enough to get Chris Partridge as a full-time coach. I’ve been that impressed with him. “Worst-case scenario, I could see him being in multiple roles. Director of player development/coach/analyst on the football side. I think he’s really talented.” -“He’s a shining star, he’s a rising superstar in this profession,” Harbaugh said. “We’ll find (something).”

Size Matters

Photography Exhibit at the C. Grimaldis Gallery Explores Architectural Borders by Cara Ober In a world where photography has become a ubiquitous tool for online propaganda, it’s refreshing to walk into a gallery full of large, expertly printed, purposeful photographs. Except for a few small groupings of snapshots, the great majority of the prints on […]

Police investigate vulnerable seniors left alone when fire alarm sounds

The 11 News I-Team has learned that Holland Manor Eldercare on Landrake Road in Towson had a license to offer assisted living services to 15 residents, but the state took the license. The question is why two seniors continued living there until police and firefighters found them.

Michigan Tuesday: Postive Feedback on Brown Hire and Chuck Calls It a Day

Everybody seems to love the hire of Don Brown. I also like this line from Michigan’s official announcement: “We are very pleased and happy to announce that our top candidate and number one choice, Don Brown has accepted our offer to become defensive coordinator,” said Harbaugh. Many had thought that Stanford’s Lance Anderson was the #1 choice. Lance ended up not getting the BYU head coaching job and will continue to be Stanford’s DC.

On a side note, Michigan might also look to BC for their next AD in Brad Bates. Since we are in a dead period, I expect Coach Brown will start doing recruiting trips in mid-January.

Charles Woodson is calling it a career after 18 seasons in the NFL. He is a lock for the hall of fame and is still playing at a high level. Congratulations to a great player!

Reports are Mario Ojemudia lost his appeal and is now done as a Michigan Football Player. Good luck Mario!

Here are the best guesses on announcement dates:

-Nauta at the Army All American Game 1/9

-Hill and Corley NSD

-Gary NSD

-Dylan Crawford AA Game 1/9

-Jean Delance UA Game 1/2 (top 3 Michigan, LSU and Texas)

– David Long after 1/15 which is a visit to UW

-Quinn Nordin late January or NSD

Gary could go with an announcement at the UA game on 1/2 but many believe he will take January to make a decision.
