Michigan Monday: Picks Up A DC From BC

During Michigans win streak this year when Michigans defense was shutting out opponents I would keep looking at where Michigan D stood nationally it was always behind Boston College. I also watched a bit of the BC ND at Fenway and saw that Boston College had a very good defense and a equally terrible offense on the other side. Per the Boston Herald: Brown 60 led an Eagles defense that ranked No. 1 in the nation in total defense (254.3 yards allowed) was second in rushing defense (82.2) and eighth in pass defense (171.2). BC finished fourth in points allowed (15.3). Brown was named the 2015 Assistant Coach of the Year by the FBS American Football Coaches Association on Dec. 8. So even though his name is a surprise having BCs DC Don Brown heading to Michigan shouldnt be. He wasnt even linked to the Michigan job and now (pending an official release) he is on his way to Ann Arbor. If you worried that its not completely 100% Don has told his BC players and Jimmy is telling recruits. #Michigan commit Jordan Elliott on Don Brown: He is going to take our defense to another level. @XCV____ @JElliott_95 Sam Webb (@SamWebb77) December 21 2015 //platform.twitter.com/widgets.js Orlando (Fla.) Oak Ridge LB Jonathan Jones on Don Brown: Coach Harbaugh just told me about it. Thats a hugeeeee pick up. @KingCaarlos Sam Webb (@SamWebb77) December 21 2015 //platform.twitter.com/widgets.js #Michigan commit @_Dbush11 on the Don Brown hire: I cant wait to play for him (FREE): https://t.co/pWk95ZlTjV pic.twitter.com/MOsIrLwyNR Steve Lorenz (@TremendousUM) December 20 2015 //platform.twitter.com/widgets.js He is not a traditional Jimmy hire as he is 60 years old but sounds like a great pick-up for a guy that could lead Michigans defense for many years andhashead coaching experience. Michigan DB recruit David Long De-committed to Stanford over the weekend. Its a Michigan Washington battle. Michigan made Isaac Nautas top 3 with Bama and Georgia. Carlos Kemp won the Denver Posts Golden Helmet awards as Colorados Best Player. Kicker and PSU commit Quinn Nordin will take an official to A2 on 1/15 then to PSU and Baylor. Im concerned about the scholarship numbers in his recruitment. No Place Like Home?

On the BMA’s Imagining Home by Bret McCabe The most interesting aspect of the Baltimore Museum of Art’s ambitious, if problematic, exhibition, Imagining Home, is a series of three short videos called “Home Stories.” For this project, 11 households lived with an artwork from the BMA’s collection for about a month, and afterward were interviewed on camera […]
